About Me
I've spent years exploring many different types of artistic mediums. Painting, Calligraphy, Doll making, Tole painting, Macram'e, Crocheting, the list goes on and on. Until I discovered the awesome world of beading.
In 2005, my family made a big move from Kansas to Michigan. It was somewhat scary as we had lived in Kansas for 17 years, and I was fearing the changes. But I know that in all things God knows the plans He has for each and everyone, so I was trusting that this was a good thing.
As it turned out, my prayer had been to own my very own bead store. And learn everything possible about off loom beading. Moving to Michigan and starting from scratch, I had no idea how I could possibly make my dream happen. But I've found out in these past few years, a dream can come true, maybe not exactly how it was envisioned, but so close, that you know your prayers have been answered.
I have 8 children, and one has special needs. He was placed in a school to help him learn the skills to cope with his behaviors and social skills. Through his school I was so blessed to meet my very dear friend Jane Richards. She also has a son with special needs. Amazingly she was in the process of opening a bead store and needed some help. So I believe it was no mistake that for over two years I was given the opportunity to run a bead store and also be the main bead instructor.
Having such an awesome opportunity gave me the courage to set some goals for myself, and this June 2009, I have a publication in Bead and Button magazine. I am very blessed and know that all good gifts come from above. So I give all the praise honor and glory to my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He has given me the confidence to push myself and to never say never and to not ever give up.
Beading is like the treasures that are in heaven, God is the ultimate designer and His creations are endless, beading has no limits, and the ability to create never ends! Blessings,CJ
